SUMMARY

Schedules delivery, receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the Company Warehouse. Enter receiver data into our Company computer system.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Ability to write and speak English/Spanish.
  • Computer Knowledge
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in receiving environment
  • Well organized and ability to schedule and meet deadlines
  • Ability to push, pull or lift 50+ lbs., bend, stand and/or sit for long periods of time
  • Forklift Certified

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Organize and maintain receiving department.

• Unload trucks, check in merchandise, and compare purchase orders to receivers and sales orders.

• Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.

• Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.

• Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

• Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.

• Opening bales, crates, and other containers.

• Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.

• Assisting in counting of physical inventory.

• Weighing and counting items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. .

• Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

• Wearing the proper safety equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
