SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor ensures that our products are produced efficiently while maintaining our high quality standards, from raw components to finished products. Additionally, the Production Supervisor ensures that the facilities and processes conform to Diamond Mattress Safety Standards by monitoring team members and equipment.

If you’re a motivated and detail-oriented self-starter with 2+ years of management skills in a manufacturing environment, this is the position for you. Diamond Mattress is looking for a candidate who wants to join a company that promotes innovative ideas, provides mentoring relationships, and possesses a drive for ensuring the best quality mattresses.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring timely and efficient production of high quality bedding products by implementing appropriate manufacturing and delivery schedules and processes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Ability to write and speak English/Spanish.
  • Computer proficiency of MS Office
  • Strong management skills: excellent leader, trainer, and instructor; ability to manage conflict; give good direction; implement decisions and follows up; enforces policies; delegates responsibilities
  • Organizational skills: detail-oriented; excellent coordinator; punctual; meets deadlines
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in manufacturing environment
  • Excellent planner: identify and solve problems; meet goals; defines needs and develops strategies
  • Familiar with Federal and State Safety Regulations
  • Strong quality skills
  • Experience/exposure to lean manufacturing practices
  • Ability to push, pull or lift 50+ lbs., bend, stand and/or sit for long periods of time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT/EQUIPMENT

  • Develops and recommends improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve quality and efficiencies.

SCHEDULING

  • Organizes and supervises the daily shipping, receiving, delivery, and manufacturing processes throughout the factory in a timely manner

EFFICIENCY

  • Controls the use of materials and prevents unnecessary waste; utilizes labor in an efficient manner in order to prevent excess hours, downtime, and overtime

MANAGEMENT

  • Oversees staff of 70+ employees
  • Must respond proactively to performance concerns, discipline, employee complaints, and other employee relations matters
  • Interpersonal skills: supportive, sensitive, motivating
  • Responsible for training new and existing team members
  • Knowledge of general human resource skills

SAFETY

  • Ensures that safety and health procedures are being followed throughout the plant. Reports and/or corrects any unsafe conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA compliance

QUALITY

  • Ensures that all outgoing product meetings our high quality standards, and proactively addresses any potential issues at the source of the problem. Develop and maintain quality control processes.
